    Storyline:玉儿2岁时家中巨变，被义父吴啸天收养，教授其医术。义父临死前让玉儿不忘家仇。后玉儿为复仇进入药商杜远山府上做丫鬟。当玉儿达到自己目的时，杜远山告知当年的真相，并且给了玉儿盘缠让其离开杜家。后杜府面临困境，玉儿因怀愧疚愿回杜家帮助渡过难关。杜远山之子杜明海早已对玉儿有情，他信玉儿真心帮助杜府，杜府上下却误会玉儿，杜远山却让她再进杜府。玉儿展示非凡医术和管理能力，成为杜府大管家，杜远山临终前将家业托给玉儿，玉儿也找到了失散的哥哥，即杜府大少爷杜明江，可杜明江却被欲望迷蒙了双眼，走上不归路。抗战爆发后，玉儿坚守杜府药厂，在新四军的帮助下，为抗日力量提供药材，为千万抗日战士制造良药。
