    Storyline:富家子卓明（陈厚）对子承父业做生意不感兴趣，在德国留学时自作主张改念音乐，归国后父亲见生米已煮成熟饭，不得已默许。在德他曾与志趣相投的旧友志雄（张冲）约好，将来合力开办一间唱片公司，将中国音乐介绍到世界。　　卓明父亲未料想，儿子竟会在婚姻上也将他背叛：卓明与夜总会歌女雪玲（胡燕妮）经过几次照面，深深爱上彼此，有意结婚，而他相中的门当户对的小姐，只被卓明当作妹妹。两父子为此大闹一场脱离关系，卓明却因此举令雪玲外婆改观对他的印象，他与雪玲结为夫妻。　　婚后，卓明确如之前承诺，将雪玲视作珍宝，雪玲则因顾全卓明家人颜面，辞掉工作，但如此加重卓明的生活担子，他虽然无怨无悔，却因日日辛苦令旧病复发变作瞎子。雪玲去求卓明父亲，只得冷面凉言，决计以自己的方式将卓明医治。重回夜总会后，她结识欣赏她的唱片公司经理，那人正是志雄。而终日呆在家中的卓明，自卑感一日重比一日。
