    Storyline:《新凤凰闽剧团》的班主林木水有5个女儿，4个都以唱戏为业，除了小女儿连心。在美国读书的连心因对男友许安感到灰心，便不告而别返回新加坡。但许安对连心余情未了，追到新加坡找连心，意外发现连心一家以唱戏为生，不禁渐渐对这个面临淘汰的古老行业产生兴趣，同时还发现连心和家人相处得不融洽。连心觉得难以融入家庭，决定放弃飞返美国，但许安劝她不该逃避，应该解开心中的结。连心最终决定留下，入夜时分，街头又传来大锣大鼓的声音，《新凤凰》的好戏又上演了……
