Ro-Kyu-Bu! (ロウきゅーぶ!, Rōkyū Bu) is a Japanese sports comedy light novel series written by Sagu Aoyama with illustrations by Tinkle. The first volume was published in February 2009, and 11 volumes have been released by ASCII Media Works as of October 2012. The series is about a high school freshman Subaru Hasegawa who becomes the coach of a grade school's girls basketball team after the high school team's captain was suspected for being a pedophile. Three manga adaptations were produced, as was two PlayStation Portable visual novels. A 12-episode anime television series, produced by Project No.9 and Studio Blanc, aired between July and September 2011. A second season titled Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, produced solely by Project No.9, will begin airing in July 2013.
