    Storyline:北平有位唱大鼓书的叫方宝庆，一家五口，胞兄、老婆及两个闺女，小闺女秀莲是宝庆买来的孩子，自小跟着宝庆学唱大鼓。日军侵略中国那会儿，宝庆便带着一家人逃难到重庆。重庆逃难的人特别多，宝庆打算在这儿办个书场，养家糊口。茶馆里，宝庆和唐少爷异地相逢，感慨万千。唐家也是唱大鼓书的，两家议定合伙搭班子，办个书场取名“升平”。...
