Storyline:解放前，黄土高原上的阎家寨以炮仗出名，这里制作的炮仗经销全国。阎家寨里居住着宋、阎两族人，两族人之间一直就摩擦不断，由于閻姓掌握着这里炮仗生意，所以在阎族人在这里还是稍占上风。这天，宋东升（陈豪 饰）因为和当地的寡妇互生情愫，准备逃走时被族人捉住，由这里的主事人阎家族长阎万熙（林保怡 饰）主持执行家法。东升看着情人被活活烧死，而他也被缠上长长的炮仗被执行“点天灯”。东升侥幸逃过一死，被赶出了阎家寨，勒令以后永远不准回来。情人的惨死在东升心里埋下了仇恨的种子，他决定有朝一日一定要再次回来为死去的情人复仇。 一晃两年过去了，时局发生了很大的动荡，阎家寨这个高原上的寨子似乎还保持着往日的平静。只是，东升回来了……
