Storyline:弗兰茨·罗戈夫斯基([温蒂妮])、格奥尔格·弗里德里希([明亮的夜])主演了工作名为[伟大的自由](Great Freedom，暂译)的新片。该片由塞巴斯蒂安·迈泽执导，迈泽与托马斯·赖德尔共同操刀剧本。该片围绕汉斯·霍夫曼的监狱生活展开，霍夫曼成年后的大部分时间都是在监狱中度过的。在二战结束后，几乎所有囚犯都从集中营中获释，而汉斯却被直接转移到了监狱中。根据此前臭名昭著的德国刑事法第175条，霍夫曼被定罪为同性恋罪，继续在监狱中服刑。即使在监狱之中，霍夫曼也没有停下寻找爱情的脚步。该片于2020年德国第一次封锁前，在柏林进行了部分的拍摄，并于2020年6月恢复拍摄，且于同年7月13日杀青。
