    Storyline:福建沿海小船主吴天桂在解放前娶了三房太太，新中国成立后废除了一夫多妻制。为不与妻儿分开，吴天桂全家踏上了私渡台湾的危险旅程。历经磨难终于抵达台湾的吴天桂，为了信守在妈祖面前许下的承诺，苦苦寻找林奇伟的家人。穷途末路之时，他走进宜兰的一座妈祖庙中，受妈祖圣像的庇佑，吴天桂的生活开始迎来转机……
