    Storyline:因父亲殉职而得以顶班的小矿工赵矿生要求进步用危险的落垛法采煤，遭遇煤层垮塌。点班区长张鹏举和革委会副主任范纲在救援赵矿生的过程中遇到大地震，带领工人自救突围。探路时赵矿生意外发现了父亲在数月前的瓦斯爆炸事故中的遗体。原来瓦斯爆炸后为防止灾害继续扩大必须封堵矿道，但当时赵父并未死亡。作为决策者，赵父之死成为了张鹏举的心结……众人在大地震中自我救赎，最终放下成见，突围重生的故事。
