Storyline:流浪汉查理在游园会里被一个小偷陷害，结果让警察追到了马戏团里。马戏团的演出被这突如其来的情况打乱了，但不明真相的观众们却喜欢上了这个“节目”。马戏团的老板把查理留了下来，很快查理就成了马戏团的台柱并且他爱上了老板的女儿。但老板的女儿却爱上了走钢丝的男演员，查理为了爱人独自离开了……
